Already had an encounter with floridaman --- was at the beach, walking to smoke, this wierd looking little man stares at me for 10 seconds, then starts walking away while mumbling to himself "nahh, he gonna **** me up".....

I work in the Tampa/Brandon area regularly. It's a strange mix of folks down there. It's hard to put a name to what the people are like there. The only term I can use that fits is everyone seems flaky. Is this guy homeless or did he park his Vette around the corner? On drugs are just out there? You just can't tell. I love the idea of being near the water but I don't know how I would do living there.

has moved to FL and might have some insight.I thought the Tampa area was too overcrowded 25+ years ago. Now, it's just next level. They used to have some world class titty bars, but I haven't been interested in those in a long time. Gulf coast of Florida can be amazing if you can find a spot to get away from too much humanity.
When I was a FL resident I made some deals on some national website, but that was so long ago it's irrelevant. On the bright side, they have amazing gun stores, way better than GA.
There’s the gulf coast gun forum. I live in essentially South Georgia as far as culture and scenery. Anything south of Ocala is just like any other big, dumb city. I work in Tampa and it sucks.
