My south

I just love the southern stereotypes. Red neck, bare footed, slow witted, slow talkers, backward, living in the past, married our cousin, etc. I embrace all of the stereotypes. Some of them are based on the truth, but they leave out, strong character, help your neighbor, belief in God, put family first, love of country and others. We true southerners are all of these things and more And by the way, I never married my cousin, slept with her, but never married her. lol

People always make fun of us Southerners but I've never known anyone who retired and move North.

Why do they all pass up Georgia and go straight to Florida?

Yes, the weather.

A Yankee buddy of mine asked me not to long ago in a laughing manner, "Why do you dumb-asses still fly a flag in the back of your truck that is symbolic of defeat"? I didn't have a good answer..

Should have pointed out the USA has lost a lot more wars than the CSA

As a bona fide Yankee (Californian, actually, but same thing really :)), I love a lot of things about the South! Some things irk the crap out of me and are taken in stride by true Southerners, but for the most part Georgia has treated me well.

#1 Please don't stop them ! #2 To a Yankee it may be a symbol of defeat, but to us its a symbol of defiance ! and for our pick-ups, if we were'nt buying them a lot of yankees would be out of work !
