I stumbled into a new to me gun shop awhile ago and found under an inch of dust a left handed flintlock and trigger (see pictures)
As a left handed long gun shooter, I, with limited knowledge of old flintlocks and zero experience with them decided I would love to build my own.
As I have started down that rabbit hole, I am finding out that I may have bitten off more than I can chew and have realized there was far more nuance than I initially thought.
I thought I could build and be semi close to correct does not appear possible. Additionally some of the research I have found on this style lock is that its a bit finnicky and less refined.
The kits I thought I could use to finish the rifle are only for right handed locks.
So I guess I need recommendations for a builder or possibly a class that takes you from start to finish building your own. I guess I'm just going to aim for a nice primitive season deer gun and a nice wallhanger.
Looking for any tips or recommendations at this point.
