NEW Kel-Tec PLR-16 (Had to show it off)

Just got home with my newest toy, Kel-Tec PLR-16 and had to show it off. It's the beginning of my first SBR. Now to start the paperwork and wait.

Hmmm, I would SBR an AR pistol instead just in case something break or doesn't work right, you can replace the upper, or the LPK easier.

I've always liked the PLR though.

Awesome.. How do you go SBR with a PLR? Can that upper mate with an SU 16 Lower?

I've been told that the SU-16 AR stock adapter with the collapsible stock will mate up to the PLR.

I've got a PLR and it's been flawless. It's actually a lot simpler of a design than an AR and has less to malfunction. The SU16-E is the stock that you probably want; it has the pistol grip and the AR style adjustable stock. In the mean time start looking at your hand guard options. You can go w/ the factory, modify a Magpul MOE (this is what I did), or look at other aftermarket options. Red Lion Precision makes a pretty cool rail for it. One thing to consider also is if you go with the factory hand guard, there is gap between it and the receiver that works with the SU16-C stock that folds (butt of the stock folds into the gap).
