Beautiful dogs! I am a Bulldog owner myself, and they are one hell of a breed. By far the best family we have ever had (provided your kids let them rest once in awhile). Love the Military discount, and again, great looking dogs!

Thank you very much for your post. Do you have pics of your bully?

As for the military, police and firefighters discount. I am retired military myself and just trying to give back to those guys that go out and risk their butts everday for the rest of us. God Bless Them!

There is alot of work that goes into breeding the English Bulldog which partially accounts for the cost of this extremely family friendly breed. Anyone can get a female and pay a stud fee to produce puppies. There are many out there just go to puppyfind.com and look. Some end up looking like a boxer or have heads out of proportion with their body that look like what my 11yr old daughter called a "Bobble Head". Some look like their faces are too pushed in or have what I call a Shar Pei look to them with too many wrinkles. Other people may like those traits but we personally do not. We wanted to produce healthy bulldogs that were excellent examples of the breed standards and we carefully chose our dogs. But if you are concerned about improving this breed and providing new owners with healthy quality English Bulldogs then it is more involved. We finally found the female we were looking for after 3 months of searching and interviewing over a dozen breeders. We had an veteran English Bulldog breeder that shows her dogs help us pick out our female. Eowyn was nearly 9 weeks old when we bought her ($2000) and then we waited until she was the recommended minimum age of 18 months to breed her. It took me another month to find the right stud for her. There are many out there but "Tigger" really stood out as an excellent male English Bulldog with beautiful markings. After progesterone testing, stud fees, artificial insemination and C-section we have 6 beautiful puppies. There is no guarantee that she would take and if she did she may have only one puppy or she could have more. We were lucky and had 6 healthy babies. For the first 2 to 2 1/2 weeks of life the puppies have to be manually placed on the mother to feed and then removed round the clock. We had to manually stimulate each puppy to pee and poop because she refused to lick them to do it (who could blame her! lol). Then you go to every 3 to 4 hours of feeding them and cleaning up after them. Right now at 8 weeks of age they have had their first set of shots and have been wormed. They eat 3 times a day on dry puppy food. We are now working on the house training and they are doing well with it because they are smart dogs. They are taken out multiple times a day and played with and held constantly by my girls. That will give people a little more insight as to why these dogs cost as much as they do. Like most things you get what you pay for. As one breeder I know put it a cheap bulldog is cheap for a reason.

Free bump for some bulldogs. I have 2 bullies; 1 olde english and 1 american and love bullies overall. The best personality you will ever have in a dog.

Thanks very much! They are the best companion dogs for young and old that you can own. They all have very unique individual personalities

I love English Bulldogs. I have a female that is just over 1 year old. I paid a very similar price to what you are asking, have done extensive research, and can verify that your prices are fair for curious members just getting into this breed. There is definitely "sticker shock" at first when looking into purchasing a bulldog puppy. However, it is the best money I have ever spent. We are looking into purchasing a 2nd dog, but would prefer to get an adult rather than another puppy.

Andrew Jackson,

Thank you very much for your post. The stud dog owner told me I should be able to get $2500.00 each with no problem. He sells the puppies from this same stud on his website for $2800.00 for a puppy that will be spayed or neutered as a pet. Dogs that will be used as breeders he charges more. Many breeders follow that same school of thought. I looked at all of the prices on several websites and wanted to be fair with my price especially in todays economy. I then added the discount of 10% off which brings it down to $1962.00 for a pure bred AKC registerable puppy that has excellent bloodlines and comes with full breeding rights and is very healthy. There are many puppies available out there for a range of prices. A cheap bulldog is cheap for a reason. We bred our dog to better the breed and make quality bulldog puppies. If you are wanting one I am sure we can work something out.

If you are looking for an older dog please contact a local breeder. Breeders retire their dogs around 4yrs and are looking for people to provide loving long lasting homes to their dogs that worked so hard for them. You get a well cared for adult dog that is AKC registered for a very reduced price if not free. For example my vet has a 3yr old female listed for $650.00 and the breeder I bought my female from gave one of her females to a co-worker for free under the agreement the dog was to be spayed and they provided a loving home to it. No responsible English Bulldog breeder wants their dogs to end up at a shelter or rescue and that is why the majority agree to take back the dog if you decide to give it up. I would never sell my bulldogs to a pet store, puppy flipper or puppy mill and I would never buy one from any of these places. Do your research and be careful who you buy from.
