New to me Rossi m885 has heavy double action ?

I picked up a very nice Rossi m885 for a great price, it has a very heavy double action trigger and a ok single, it’s a interarms era gun, I have been looking at Wolff springs but there is no listing for Rossi, it’s internals looks like a s&w, does anybody know if it’s a s&w or Taurus design?

I have an M85 38 spl. Very nice pistols. My understanding is they copied the design of the smith and wesson back at that time. Also some say the s&w sold them the machinery. South America, can't remember which country.
