We have a two day NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home (concealed carry) course coming up in the North Atlanta area on Fri/Sat December 6-7.
The state of Georgia does not require training in order to be issued a GA Weapons License but if you have one or intend to get one, and feel that as a responsible person you should seek out training, this nationally standardized program might just be what you're looking for.
We do this course is only few times year and limit it to a small # of students. We use the NRA PPOTH material to teach an intense 2 day course that covers advanced shooting techniques relevant to carrying a concealed firearm including equipment selection, drawing from concealment, use of cover, shooting on the move and concludes with a low light shooting segment.
This course also includes a block of instruction on Georgia laws specific to ownership, transport and use of firearms as well as the use of force for the defense of self and habitation. We'll be using the code sections straight out of the current Official Code of Georgia Annotated.
This is NOT a fundamentals class. You must be familiar with your chosen firearm platform for the course and have a solid holster system and backup magazine holder.
Tuition cost is $325 including range fees and student materials.
