How does one even come upon the knowledge that one can eat that?
It's Navy lore for anyone that's done a WestPac cruise. Many a drunken sailor or airman has been challenged and eaten one. Not me. It sounds gross and is. There are different versions too. Some have the chick less developed and others it's almost a full term chick.How does one even come upon the knowledge that one can eat that?
Looks like the eggs will make you poot and that other **** will make you hurl.
There's hardly anything food wise that I won't try at least once and that's definitely one of those few.
Oh I get that...I'm more asking indigenously. Like, how did that people group come to eat that, in that fashion?
More protein? For survival maybe? I’d just die. **** that.
Probably like most things. A human saw another animal eat it and since they were hungry they tried it. I love oysters but who would have looked at an oyster and decided it was tasty? Some ancient upright walker saw an otter or other animal eat one and decided to try it. I doubt any of us has likely been so hungry that we'd literally eat almost anything.
