Can anybody do a pin & weld in the Northwest Metro area for a decent deal? I found a guy up in Suwanee that would for a good price (and then have not been able to get in touch).

All of the shops around here are $90-$125 (almost laid an egg the first price I got).

I do not have a welder at the house, otherwise I'd take a crack at it (and then likely have to spend some time grinding/buffing out a nasty weld bead on top of the pin!)

Thus the reason I buy when the factory pinned/welded 14.5 to 16" barrels are on sale., not because I need them, but just because they are a great deal.

For instance, on Black Friday I purchased four Ballistic Advantage/Aero Precision (14.5" 5.56 CMV Barrel, Mid-Length w/ Pinned Epsilon 556SL) barrels for $127.49 each, delivered (normal price is $229.99 each, as shown in their ad below). I could have gotten the same barrel with a couple of different flash hiders/compensators, but personally like the slim version of the VG6 Epsilon that allows a gas block to be added/removed after pinning/welding, which is something you have to plan ahead for if your muzzle device is larger in diamter than the barrel/gas block shoulder.
