Not suprising given the disgusting conditions most industrial farms keep their birds. Also the frequent and overuse of antibiotics is inevitably going to lead cause more resistant and virulent strains.

I take tractor supply is going to halt sales this spring :/

I got lucky then. I sold 25 Birds last Saturday and got good money for them. My hens are still laying some but the cold grey days have them slowed down some. I got 21 chicks in the brooder too.
I didn't sell it, but I gave someone the Bird yesterday :spy:

I work for a poultry company. Please keep all these people in your thoughts and prayers. The infected farm was in the edge of Elbert co. If this **** cannot be contained it will potentially cripple GAs biggest industry. Since you seem to "know" about poultry operations and conditions tell me about it. What do you call the "overuse" of antibiotics?? A company is in business to make money, therefore they would in most cases treat sickly birds with an antibiotic. Just as you would go to the doctor when you're sick and get medicine. Whats shady about some in the industry, are the ones that market "organic" **** and you're paying 5x the price. "Yard chickens" and game birds are an issue because they're out in the open, exposed. So when wild birds or waterfowl transmit a disease to them, that's where cases start to happen.
