Public land turkey vs private land turkey

This is info from the GADNR Turkey Harvest stats for this season, up to today. 7,600 turkeys killed statewide as of today.

Look at the # of birds harvested per square mile for the piece of public land and then compare it to the county/ies that it is in. There isn’t more definitive proof than that.
Keep in mind that this is a friendly debate. I hunt both public and private myself, so I’m not against either.

.05 more birds for Paulding County vs Paulding Forest WMA. Not too far apart. Paulding Forest is in between hunts right now so numbers will change after the second hunt and general season are in.

Bartow/Cherokee vs Allatoona WMA

I wish that I could remember the spots that my Father used to take me to. The doggone number of turkeys that were back there was crazy.
