Question on a 5.56 upper build

I'm wanting to do another build and need some feedback on my parts selection.
First is the upper: VLTOR VIS mid or rifle length.
Second is either an 18 or 20 inch 1:8 barrel.
Last is a Fail Safe BCG or other with the same coating.
If you guys like or dislike any of the parts, maybe know of a better upper.
BCM carries everything listed but they're out of stock right now.

A rifle length 18 inch barrel would be my personal suggestion. There isn't much difference in the 20inch barrel and 18inch performance wise, so cut down the weight. As far as BCG... A quality one is a quality one.

I'd be using Ott Gun Works in Douglasville to assemble everything if that's what you're asking. Do you like the 1:8? I want to be able to shoot most grains without keyholing or wind drift.

For the heaviest 5.56/.223 bullets, you will need a 1:7 to 1:8 twist barrel in order to reliably stabilize bullets weighting between 69 and 90 grains.
