Question: What is the appropriate time to wait on buyer to respond about meeting??

So I posted a gun, guy pm's that he wants to buy if I will reduce price $25. I agree to his price offer. He replies that he will take it, then goes silent. No response from my follow up private messages about setting up a meet. I see that he has been on the forum, but no response. I have other people making full price offers. How long is appropriate to wait on a response from the first guy I agreed to sell to?

I’ll usually send a follow up message to the tune of “I’ll take your lack of response as a solid indication of lack of interest and that you’re no longer interested in_______” (fill in the blank.)

It’s nothing personal. If I’m trying to sell something and someone is dithering I’m only going to give them a couple of chances. If another buyer comes at me waving money I’m not going to wait for the guy who’s kicking tires.

If no meet set, and no response to pm’s while seeing him active on the site, I usually move on to next offer in line.

As others have said, I would send a PM with a note asking if he's still interested and to respond and set up a meet within 24 hours. If you get no reply I'd move on to the next buyer. You could do shorter time, but I typically give someone the benefit of the doubt as many people work 8-12 hour shifts and may not have access to their phone during that time. But if they are serious about purchasing something, you would think they would make it a priority to set a meet date and time and stick with it.

I blocked a dude who would do that to me. He saw I was into long range shooting so he would reach out and ask about stuff I didn’t have for sale. He would put a pretty good price on something I had, and then when it came time to do the deal crickets. I even PMd him saying hey no big deal if you want to back out...just let me know. Nothing...then I see him posting on other peoples ads. He did this 3-4x before I blocked his ass.
