I'm definately not opposed to one, I just like the fact that the LR model comes in 30-06 with a heavy barrel. But I know that most people go for the 300 magnums instead so I listed it as an option ibecause I fgured that it would be easier to find used. I currently have a 700 LR in 7mm magnum that I like, but I reload mostly .308 cal cartridges and was thinking about thinning the herd to reduce having to buy so many different caliber componets.
Of only you were looking for a 308

I actually like 308s, and you have a nice set up posted. I have an AAC-SD 20" 308.
yeah I love it. Best group out of is was .20. Wanted to get into long range shooting and never shoot it. So time for something that will actually get shot
That was my plan with my 308, now I just need to upgrade the stock, but can't decide what I want. I'm leaning towards the HS precision standard police stock with the palm swell.
That’s about the same as what’s on mine. They are great!! I recommend the check riser like on mine. Made a big difference
