Replacement SKS gas tube

I have a project SKS, numbers do not match, that I purchased a NcStar gas tube for. My dilemma is that the piston diameter is too small. Any suggestions? Any thought's, ideas, or fixes are much appreciated.

As in the gas piston wont go through the hole in the rear of gas tube?

The piston is too small and will not seal properly in the tube. The gun loses the semi auto function.

You may not believe it but one of the best places to find SKS parts is on Ebay. Tons of stuff on there for SKS rifles. Original parts and aftermarket stuff.

The pistons head seals with the gas block not the gas tube. Its probably hanging up in the tube. could we get some pictures of the piston and the tube? can you get both pistons to actuate by hand?

I hope that I am doing this correctly. This pic is the piston in the original tube. It has a good fit with just enough clearance to provide a good seal and move freely.

This is the NcStar tube. The piston has too much play and will not provide a good seal. Thank you for your help.
