I just picked up a Ruger 22/45 lite today. I know it's already been reviewed here by soviet so I thought I woudl do a comparison between the 22/45 Lite and 22/45 outfitted with the same length Tactical Solutions barrel/receiver. While I am at it, I will compare the Liberty Essence to a SilencerCo Sparrow as I go through the comparison. It's not a comparison that will be done in one night, I want to get out and shoot them and factor that in as well. i will get better pictures as I go through this as well and will add to this as I go over time. I need something to fill a little spare time.

On the scales, the Lite weighs in at 22.9 ounces with mag inserted/unloaded and thread protector on
The TacSol comes in at 21.7 ounces with mag inserted/unloaded and thread protector on

First up is the 22/45 Lite:

What's the local retail cost on this item?

22/45 Lite retails for $469. I got mine locally for $360

PacLite barrel/reciever sells for $280 - $300 depending on whether it has flutes or not. Mine does and I think I got it for $290 + 22/45 MKIII cocobolo grip model itself bought separately retails for $389.00 but I think I paid $310. Total was approximately $600. But you also have an additional barrel/receiver left over as a spare. Obviously there is a significant difference in price. You may could sell the extra barrel but there is no way it would go for enough to recoup the difference.
