I've broken down the ABC assessment (which is fix as you go) to its base form in a modern minuteman spin.
There is SOOOOO much more to be said about each individual topic (as in a week dedicated to airway, and a couple weeks dedicated to trauma, and few weeks dedicated to shock, etc). I'm going to continue on with videos about each of these, but this video (and the upcoming MARCH video) are a combination of these individual modules and skills. I did it in this order so that people who have some of the "pieces" can begin to put it together to form the big picture puzzle.
Even if you don't have any of the skills squared away yet- you'll still benefit from the video in that you'll see what is involved in becoming competent. You can do almost everything on the assessment side in the video without tools. The interventions are different in that you'll need licensure depending on what we're talking about, but everything short of the needle decompression (paramedic) is attainable with a fairly conservative investment of time (ie first responder, emt).
