Sears model 200 barrel

so I bought this sight unseen awhile back. Took it apart to check and clean it. Looks to be missing 2 pieces of metal on the barrel. My guess is not safe to fire. What could have caused this kind of damage?

Well. Looks to be yer extractor recess not broken metal. If not yer gonna have to put arrows on the "broken" parts for me to see them.

Looks like a standard Winchester 1200 barrel (Which is what the Sears 200 is) and as Sharps40 stated the extractor recess is what you are seeing. Below is a better photo of the Winchester Barrel Cuts

Yep, 200 is a 1200 and suchlike in reverse. Clean it. Lotsa goop in that extractor cut on the Sears gun

thanks for the information guys! I will clean it up and take it out and see how it does. Thought for sure it was broke looking at it
