so, ive never cared for sports, especially with all the woke stuff now. but ive been thinking about how exactly a silly game in which grown men you dont know who are paid way more than you to chase a ball can be so popular.

i get it being popular years ago back when entertainment was limited maybe and going to a game could be fun, but following it on TV? going to a game now when its such a pain in the ass and expensive?

what is the allure people have in reveling in another's success? i honestly dont understand it. ive always thought sports were boring as **** unless i was actively playing it. sports movies are boring, sports talk is retarded; if i had to pick a ****ty way to kill time i would pick one of the following 3 :watching the braves on tv, watching the view, or having my blood drawn

Being an Atlanta sports fan, has to be extremely painful. I mean all their teams sux. I do love football, college mostly. Watching baseball is like watching paint dry.
well, thats just it though i dont get the attraction to sports in general. i can understand the college level stuff, especially if you have friends or classmates involved in it

im not trying to belittle what other folks like i dont understand it though. to me if someone listed a bunch of activities and watching sports or going to a game was one of them it would be very far down on my list.

so why do you like professional sports? i might could if i had an interest that tethered me to a team but outside of sports betting i dont see it. to me its "team 1 versus team 2" regardless of what city name they have in front of them

I saw an interesting sport in Scotland (Ireland?) on TV. It was a hard-core football type sport with no pads or helmets. All of the teams were volunteers that had real jobs through the week. No pay at all. Much respect to those guys. I wish all sports were that way.
that makes sense to me and id rather watch a bunch of unpaid enthusiasts crush heads for fun than douchey professionals worried about a shoe deal

I reckon my best answer is, I grew up playing sports and watching with my dad, so I just kept on keeping on. He did stop with MLB on their first strike in the 80’s and he was pretty much done with NFL after their first strike as well. I’ve never watched much MLB, until October when it’s the playoffs.
