"“It’s a very uncomfortable lifestyle working for $7.40 at McDonald’s when McDonald’s made like $500 billion last year,” one protestor said." :tsk:

If they paid $15/hr, wouldn't everything there cost more? Wouldn't they be able to hire smarter, more motivated people at that rate and get rid of the dead-beats who think their time is worth more than it really is?

You're telling me they can't find people to work?

Even if those people want more than the market dictates there should be others willing to do it for less.

I don't see the parallel to Atlas Shrugged as the govt is not dictating this.

Right- not gov't mandated, but more the attitude of the people that corporations shouldn't make a profit. And I'd have to agree that if that group of people isn't willing to do the job for that price, someone out there is.

One day we can say "Remember back when there were no robots at McDonald's?"
