So, I finally got a toaster oven and molded my wrist brace. I have not found anyone who makes anything like this. I designed it to stop my wrist from breaking UP while shooting. It's made from Kydex. I used a self adhesive felt for the lining and a Mueller wrist brace to hold it in place. It is designed to prevent injury while practicing with high cal. handguns.

so do you wear it if your ccing or such so in case you need to use it in a defensive situation that you will shoot the same as you do at the range while wearing it?

No. It's just for practice at the range to prevent repetitive wrist injuries. I'm not going to unleash 2-300 rounds in a defensive situation.

I keep forgetting you are a woman. You get a pass. But to answer your question or concern. If you want less "felt" recoil in a 1911, you want a steel frame rather than aluminum. Steel absorbs recoil much better. My 115 lb ex could shoot my Dan Wesson (stainless frame) Commander size "CBob" with much better accuracy and more comfortably than she could shoot any 9mm we tried.
