I have one and its in the original configuration, thats how I like them best. Is yours still in 7x57 mauser?

yes min is 7x57 not original though as Barrel has been shortened and sporterized when it was imported to the states in the 50's or 60's

Looks better cleaned up.Those were available at Economy Auto for about 12-15 dollars. in 1969. Mom got me one for Christmas that year.

I was about 11 then. Wages were somewhere around $1.25 an hour. That was a fair amount of money for surplus guns at the time.
