Did a search and just saw post about the Douglasville location so I thought I'd share a post on my trip to Stoddards in Atlanta today...

I picked up a new P938 from an ODT member today in downtown Atlanta. I was eager to take her for a spin so I checked out Stoddards new location today. There were only a handful of customer in there which was to be expected at 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. I was told it has been open for about a month and it looks it. Store was well lit and immaculate. They had a pretty good selection of firearms at reasonable prices (not quite as cheap as Cherokee or GGS - but who is?). They had a few PMR30s in stock if anyone is still looking for those (they were at MSRP @ $379). They had some performance center Smiths, the SP101 Match Champion, and a few other pistols that you don't see at the stores on a regular basis.

The staff were plentiful and friendly. Turns out one of the guys that works there is on here. The range was well lit, clean, and well ventilated (to be expected). The target system is really nice with the touchscreen and tactical programs that you can run on it (same as the one in Douglasville). Price is $15/hr which is high but about right inside the perimeter. I don't mind paying extra to shoot when the weather is like this but I'm used to shooting outdoors where the price is typically half that.

Anybody else been? Thoughts?

Happy to see it open and hope they do really well. I do think they could have done a better job getting the word out since I had not heard anything about it since his battle with the City of Atlanta and the neighborhood association over there near their location. I happened to hear they were open from a friend a the local pub.

I stopped by about a week before christmas and was a little disappointed. I called from my office and asked if they had any standard AR-15 charging handles in stock. The guy on the phone checked and said he had some on the shelf, but of course when I got there, nothing could be found. I shrugged it off to new folks, new store, growing pains. As soon as I left there, the same exact thing happened at Moss Pawn, and I have experienced the same situation at Adventure Outdoors. At least I'll save gas now...

I like the place and am really glad to see another gun store open inside the perimeter. City Hall's crony's seem to have had an unspoken ban on any store or range within city limits outside of Chucks until now. I'll definitely be back, but I will probably keep my membership at Quickshot instead, since the price is less and I can bring a guest free, anytime, as much as I want.

Yeah, I didn't think their membership was that great. You can only bring a guest 3 times?? I haven't visited quickshot yet but do plan on going there soon.

The ranges in the Atlanta location will go out 25 meters for those who want to sight their AR and AK rifles iron sights in at the correct distance. The Douglasville range maxes out at 74 feet.

I've been. Like others mentioned, it is BNIB location, everything is new and shiney, the staff is super friendly. Prices are slightly higher but its right off of 17th Street/Atlantic Station/Ikea. Had some fun slingin' lead...

Thanks Smiley.......also read the mice type with Stoddard's Membership's. Members have priority range time "unless they are real busy...then they boot you off after 1 hour"

Quickshot Membership has it's rewards. It does not matter how busy or how long the wait time is.....Members are never asked to leave or move. You can stay all day if you choose!! and with a guest always!!

What I meant to say is I'll definitely be keeping my membership at Quickshot since the service has always been top notch and my experience there hands down has been nothing but great.

See yall tonight!

Not a fan of paying money and being aked to leave early...
thats not exactly true. I work there, and we take care of our members. We'd never ask you to leave early. And prices may be a little higher for firearms, but there's 3 things that we offer standard on any new or used firearm:

1) Free hour of range time (or another guest pass if you're a member)
2) 30 day "No Regrets" policy meaning shoot it all you want, if it's not for you within 30 days, bring it back for a full store credit towards anything else in the store)
AND 3, WHICH NOBODY DOES!
3) Full lifetime warranty through stoddards on any new or used firearms we sell as long as you own it.

Stoddards is awesome and I'm not just saying that because I work there. I say that because...Stoddards is awesome. And we're still getting more and more things in stock daily. Not to mention 1 of 3 Beretta stores inside of our store in the United States. Everyone that works there are great, friendly, knowledgable people, and we have compete full service gun smithing, although we're still getting our laithe and cerakote machine ready.

Do do yourself a favor, and come by.
