Looking for surplus pistols. Please also looking to pay the surplus price. I'm sure some of you fellas have them collecting dust somewhere. Gunbroker has them. 92s are $260. I don't mind if you want to recover your full investment price(shipping, extra mags, holsters, etc) Just not going to pay almost new price. Would rather buy from you fellas.

There a few NIB Full Size All Steel EAA Witness out there in the hands of retailers selling them for under $300.
IMHO: They are among one of the most accurate pistols that you can own ... PERIOD! At any price. They are among the best of the Browning Clones (CZ is the most famous and expensive such clone).

BTW: I've owned three and wish I still had one! I have a Beretta 92FS that is comparable in performance, but much more expensive, and a little less accurate!

All about timing I'm sure, a lot of the guys is n cz groups I'm in scoop them up quick for "customs". I've handles a few that were Cerakoted that turned out great, I would suggest doing research to make certain if they are b or pre b models buds has to make sure it's what you're looking for. To bad we both missed out on the $299 ones they had a cpl months ago

I like the witness but it is very heavy. Mine is almost 4 lbs loaded. The cz sp01 is lighter even with the rail.

LOL! I agree, but consider the G26 / G27: Light weight ... until you put a fully loaded magazine in them; then it's a "brick" in your pocket.

The "Witness" comes in a poly offering that. is lighter weight ... Loaded, it's still rather heavy I (personally) like the "solidness" of the steel framed models of pistols as they have over a hundred years of performance history ... just saying ...

Consider the Clay's shooters who buy a lightweight shotty, then add weighted magazine inserts and stock inserts to lessen recoil and improve follow-through ... again, just saying ...

That said, each person has their own feelings about what works for them, and what doesn't ... "Noses, opinions, and a$$ holes; everyone has one" (as I do too!)

YES, Take into consideration others opinions and experience,
BUT keep searching for what works best for YOU ... sometimes it isn't what you thought it would be!

For Example: I read report after report that HK Pistols were the "BEE'S KNEES" ... BOUGHT ONE AND ... HATED IT ... didn't feel right in my hand, couldn't shoot it worth a hoot! SIGs .. (don't ask!)

Hey, my experience is mine, not yours!

I agree. I have a witness in 10mm. It's the best shooting semi-auto I've put my hands on. I like the weight except when it spends all day trying to pull my pants down. I had the exact same experience with the HK. They are great guns.. for other people. The polymer cz and witness don't have the same grip profile or angle or something. Just don't have the same feel. I can shoot the beretta well and it is about 10oz lighter fully loaded. I'd still rather stick with cz or witness. The CZ is a little lighter.
