When I was young, Taco Bell had a logo and restaurant sign that combined the colors of the Mexican flag with a desert Southwest theme-- perfectly appropriate.

And their buildings looked like an old Spanish mission. 👍

A decade later, they went with a red white and blue color scheme: I totally approved-- two thumbs up.👍 👍

Then they switched the blue to purple probably to attract more purple-loving people into their restaurants....
🤷

And now they've gone full on purple and black -- mostly black.
I just today drove past one of their newly constructed restaurants and yeah it's pretty much all black with purple accents.

When they changed the signs here a few years ago I thought they had just let their signs get old and faded... Purple has nothing to do with either Mexican food or the southwest.

They were ok fast food at one time, perhaps 40 or so years ago. There’s one in my town and it’s total crap. Not only is the food garbage but the crew ignores you when you walk in. I guess they want me using the kiosk instead of communicating my order to a person. I’d rather not finger a screen touched by people who’ve had their fingers up who knows what right before I get ready to eat finger food.

Well they fingered your food........:becky:

Yes but they at least are subject to inspection and many food prep folks now a days wear gloves. The guy who looks like he slept on the park bench last night that just touched the screen doesn’t inspire any cleanliness confidence in me.

I touch as little as possible while out in public. Have ever since my heart attack. I always got sick easy before that anyway. Now that I get my rest, job 1, I stay pretty healthy. Learned while working I had to take supplements to stay healthy. Just plain worked too much

I understand. I’m not a germaphobic. I have no problems, exposing myself to things out in nature. However, I don’t want to get an infectious disease that’s transmitted by humans through needless careless actions like touching a screen right after somebody touched it with their bare hands if I can avoid it.
