there another way to install the app other than Tapatalk?
That’s what I’ve been doing since the update kicked me out of the app and yes the app works on Tapatalk but I’m unable to log in.Xenforo, which is the software ODT runs on, doesn't support Tapatalk, and actually actively discourages its use in general. We just updated Xenforo a couple of weeks back, so what's likely happening is whatever workarounds Tapatalk was using to work with Xenforo are no longer compatible.
There is no ODT app to install. The correct answer is to use your phone's web browser and access ODT just like you would on a computer.
This is on the app? I just can’t log in
Just use your browser and select a mobile skin. That allows full access and isn’t so wonky like tapatalk is.
You don’t have to, but the mobile skins you won’t have to expand the page to see stuff easier. But you are right you get full access on the Xenforo regular siteOkay, let's try this again. Xenforo doesn't support Tapatalk. In fact, the xenforo developers tend to actively discourage it's use. Tapatalk will come up with workarounds to make them sort of work together, then once xenforo updates, there will be compatibility issues. I'm not surprised it's at least viewable, but functions requiring permissions security - like logging in - aren't working.
Tapatalk is an antiquated relic from when mobile browsers didn't have the same capabilities as a desktop browser. That isn't the case anymore, and hasn't been for years. At it's best Tapatalk was a workaround, today it's a steaming pile of hot garbage that there's really no good reason to use, and a lot of reasons not to use.
You can, but you don't even have to do that. I don't like mobile skins and use the desktop ones on mobile as well. Mobile browsers now can handle anything a desktop can.
