My son is turning 19 and wants some ink. I don't have any so I have no idea who to use.

His passion is fishing, so he wants something like below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

advise him to put it in a place that he can hide it with a dress shirt if he plans on having a professional career that pays well. just my .02
I would say get it somewhere it won’t show when he wears a t shirt. I have about 1/3 of my body done and the only one I regret is on my wrist. Thought it would be cool when I was 18 and that turned out real dumb. He needs to consider the future when making ostensibly permanent decisions.

Definitely! He just wants something small and inconspicuous.

Paragon Tattoo right there in Cartersville. Ask for Adam. He did a lot of my ink.

I agree with Hunting 365, at an young age he should keep it hidden. I have only half sleeves such that I can keep them covered.

Can he do something realistic like the top 2 pictures?
We've been looking online at tattoos and some of the are horrible.

location is everything
My advice since I don’t know anyone locally is to be scrupulous about who does the art and check out their work. Make sure they can lay a straight line, lines are even, shading is done correctly, and Proportions are correct.

You might want to look for someone who does hyper realism based On my what you sad earlier. Top of foot will be hard since it’s not that flat, not even, and there isn’t much fat under the skin. Hard to get ink to take there. Leg would be easier to get good results

While he is more into “new school” he is quite an artist and could do the realistic stuff as well. His brother is the owner and I think might be even a better tattoo artist. Adam is just a nice kid that did some nice work for me that I continued to use him.
