just bought a pt111 g2 in 9mm. took it to the range and love the gun but the sights kinda suck. I have maxed out elevation on the rear sight, and have windage adjusted all the way to the right and it is still shooting a couple inches low and a inch to the left with the factory sights. i am hoping someone here has had same issues (unfortunately) or could give some ideas on fixes or replacement sight sthat would help correct the issue. i havent called taurus yet, but i have a feeling they are gonna say they cant do much to fix it.

thanks in advance

I'll take it! (lol, just kidding - hope you get it worked out, mine shoots great)

yes i am right handed. i have tried from a rest, it improves a little but not much. I have heard glock sights will fit with a little rework for the front, dont know about the back

I would have another person shoot the gun, before replacing sights. 7/8 o'clock shots are a symptom of right handed shooter jerking the trigger.

And the g2 is an easy gun to jerk since the trigger needs to go all the way to the grip. I had a low right issue. My neighbor is a lefty and im right handed and the gun shot in the exact same spot for both of us. I had enough to get the right out but not the left. 2 small slices of brass shim in a can under the rear sight solved the issue though. And there are aftermarket sights for the g2 but none are adjustable. Ive seen fiber optic and tritium sights (front only on the tritium) for them when i searched about 2 or 3 months ago

You could file down the top of the front sight, and that would raise your point of impact.

You could file down the right side of your front sight, making skinnier and the new center of it a bit left of where it used to be.
That would cause you to bring the muzzle to the right a little bit to line it up. That should correct your 1" horizontal error.

However, if you do either of these things, don't expect Taurus to replace your front sight after you've been grinding and filing it.
Could you buy a replacement sight, factory standard, if you messed up your original one and didn't fix the problem?
