I think it's a tie between Victoria and Pacifico Claro. I recently tried both after all these years and I can say for certain that they are both probably THE best Mexico has to offer. They're actually very close as far as taste and as far as I know they may be made by the same company.
Anyway these two beers are what I would call all day drinkable. You can't say that about very many beers. These two brews leave Modelo and Dos Equis in the dust. And don't even mention Corona. That's piss water. The thing is that you ain't gonna find either one at Walmart or Circle K. You gotta hit the liquor store for these beers.
So...if any of y'all care about good beer then you gotta try these two. I'm leaning towards the Victoria as the winner but the Pacifico is pretty damn good and I don't wanna just dismiss it.
By the way... that's Gus the dog in the pic and he agrees with my opinion.

I used to think about the old slogan “beer is only as good as the waters it’s brewed from” and to that end, if you can’t drink Mexican water, why would I drink their beer? Working at a beer store and then as a bartender in the 80’s and early 90’s, I can tell you how bad the quality control was for Corona in particular 🤮

But…having said that, nowadays, one of my favorite beers is Modelo Negra. (Not to be confused with Modelo Especial which is pure trash)

Modelo was my go to for a little while because around here you can get it in the big 24 oz cans. But it can't compare to these two.
As for Corona I always heard that Mexicans didn't drink Corona since it was the cheapest bottom shelf **** in Mexico. I tried to go with Tecate for a while since it's priced right and comes in cans. But it just has no taste. It's not bad it's just kinda like carbonated water.
