Thermal monocular worth having under $500

I picked up a Flir two years ago for 575 at the Buckarama, turned it on one time and it’s in the safe. One of those things I just had to have

I keep doing this with thermals. Have a few now that I never use. For what I do, high spec nods suite my needs just fine.

I have a FLIR Scout TK that I use for hunting and paid $400 used for it several years ago. Mainly to check out the area for heat signatures walking in or leaving. I have used it several times to help recover deer after dark as I hunt in the woods. Thing about inexpensive thermals is that as it gets warmer (weather), they have less ability to detect animals from surroundings. Also, at 100 yards, you are seeing shapes and not hi-def like the ones in YouTube videos. Difference is about like looking at a woman in the bar sober or after dozen drinks. You both see a woman, just the details are different.

AGM Tiapan TM10 256 would be the best option.

Just sold a TM15 256 and it looked pretty good, its a little over 6.
I started with a TM 10, and it was a pretty good little unit. Limited in distance and clarity, but you still know what you're looking at. I have now upgraded to a Taipan TM 19, and it works a lot better, especially when it's warm out or raining, which makes everything look gray.
