There have been a few attempts but inevitable someone starts posting questionable content and off to the Boiler Room we go...again.
Some people just want to sow chaos and refuse to respect boundaries.
It's a shame because a lot of the stuff that gets posted there isn't remotely offensive and is incredibly funny but there's nowhere else to put it unless you start a new thread for every meme.
(But that's a different topic)
Personally I can go either way. I try to stay away from outright vulgarity (Unless it's political and then I can't control myself) but I'm not uptight about it either.
