After the L.A riots several people sued the County of Los Angeles for not adequately adequately protecting them....the lawsuit was quickly thrown out as the police have no duty to protect its citizens from violence...... To Serve and Protect is just a motto it's not the law

Folks forget this point. It should be very evident in the number of times we have all seen rioters attack people and the police ordered to stand down. No thanks. I will take care of myself and my family.

Here is a quote from Thomas Jefferson --- "The laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined, nor determined to commit crimes". It was as true in the early 1800's as it is today. Our government fears the millions of armed citizens. Once they get their hands on our guns our once great republic will be nothing but a third rate country....... JMHO
