Well the trip went well but the thumb piece I picked up cast, has a slight yellow tint (nickel?) to it and won't fit or work well. But it was only $13.75 and got to meet an interesting elderly man.

I'm trying other options and will post up trials and tribulations.

Between Covinton and Conyers a small internet only business is emerging the past 4 yrs. Jessica (6 months) and Dillon (gun cleaning dude) work for Mr. Harris (owner). If Mr. Harris' staff are vaguely representative of Mr. Harris then they are on a successful endeavor.

Great team! Dillon was willing to take personal time to bring the thumb piece to me halfway. Jessica offered to assist me in hand picking the desired quality of thumb piece.

It's a small but healthy business with a lot of stock factory used parts. They are in the process of re-inventorying and organizing, so be patient and they will be very helpful.

So it appears my S&W model 66-2 is complete.......
