Good grief ain't that the gospel!!!
I went to Napa yesterday afternoon, and asked the counter man for a case of mercon transmission fluid..........the conversation went:
He- what's it going in?
Me- a ZF 6 speed
He- that a automatic?
Me- no sir, it's a manual
He- mercon is automatic fluid, you need gear oil
Me- can I buy a case of mercon or not?

These memes have been around 30-40 years. I remember my uncle having a manilla folder with this type of stuff he would share. It didn't just happen and nothing new but today you would have to ask application in case someone was needing it for high pressure applications etc.
Truth! Lol!
It's hard to tolerate sometimes.
picking up some bananas this week, at Publix......grabbed a bunch, tore off a couple, only to have the produce person ask me if I needed them more ripe....to which I replied "IF i needed them more ripe would choose the more ripe ones"....
