I have a couple year old Savage model 93 Mark ll in 22 magnum. The rifle I have is a really accurate gun in a 22 mag. In fact it shoots better than the other 4 or 5 22 mag rifles I have owned off and on. The problem is it doesn't have the accu-trigger. The trigger heavy and I mean real heavy.

My plan here is even though it's a inexpensive rifle it is accurate enough that I want a ( or need basically ) good replacement trigger that will help a lot. I can find offerings for the accu-trigger models but I am having trouble ( well knowing what's a good offering ) finding a replacement that isn't for the accu-trigger models.

Has anyone had any dealings with the model 93 Mark ll non accu-trigger model and the possible upgrade options?

The target below is 100 yards but it could be much better with a good trigger. Disregard the flyer ( especially the far right strike, I was changing the point if impact and went to far ) those were my fault and trigger related. Staying on target with the trigger being as heavy as it is proves to be a challenge. It has probably one of the worst triggers I have ever ran into on a rifle. I just need a good recommendation that will solve this brick of a trigger. I measured the action and it says it's the later of the two designs if I measured it correctly, I believe. I know this is a longshot but it doesn't hurt to ask.

It seems I have the E- series action w/o the accu-trigger. So it's the newer style action and I can't find any videos pertaining to this situation. I placed a call to Rifle Basix to get some more info. The replacement piece they offer I believe is for the pre accu-trigger models with the shorter action length. Mine is 7 3/4 inches in length which is the newer action but the parts they offer look absolutely nothing like what is in there currently. So I guess we'll see what Rifle Basix has to say. They want over 100 bucks for a trigger replacement but again a completely different animal than what I am seeing here in the fore control group. Oh well I hope they can help.

Well don't everybody chime in at once! I have to cull through all these replies. My goodness!

Kidding aside I talked to the man at Rifle Basix and it seems they sell an adjustable sear to fix my problem. It looks like nothing that's in the firing group currently but he said that it does fit and goes down to 10 oz.. It's 104 bucks which is half the cost of the rifle itself. The trigger pulls right at about 6 lb. and some change but he assured me that will take care of it.

So I appreciate all the help here. 🤣
