A well worn M44 or Type 53 will work. Think truck gun but one that someone forgot in a field for a year or 50. Abused, untested, shot for 20 years straight without cleaning, beat to crap, unearthed, all are welcome. Milsurp, unusual caliber, rusty, pitted... a gun that your grandfather used as a cane because it wasn't worth shooting.
As long as it's not an air rifle, not a muzzle loader, not a .17 or a .22 I'd be interested.
This is a project for me and my son - I want to be sure it's at least a caliber that will serve him well when he's older.
Post here or shoot me a PM. I don't want to break the bank either, I'd consider rifles under $200 or so.
Thanks!
