Unturned Barrel Blanks

I am gearing up to chamber my first rifle barrel, and I'm looking for some advice. Can you guys recommend a good budget friendly barrel manufacturer where I can find a decent unturned blank that if I do manage to get it right may actually still shoot straight? Google results are inconclusive, so I thought I would ask here.

I'll most likely shop around for a cheaper used received, or complete rifle to disassemble, so I don't have any info on that yet. Thanks in advance.

I had a rifle re-barreled from https://douglasbarrelsllc.com/rebarreling-services/ before. was ez. they also sell blanks...pretty sure at least.

They do but they ain’t cheap

Grizzly Industries sells barrels. I have no idea about quality, but all look well over $400.

Yes, Green Mountain is really the only reasonable source these days, but they seem to be out of stock on everything lately. You can scan eBay for blanks, I have bought some there.

Went with Green Mountain. They are pretty limited but just placed an order for a 308 Winchester 19" 416ss raw blank for 97 dollars shipped. Now that I know the caliber I also went with the Manson chamber reamer.

Now that you have barrel on way, you may want to check this out. I have Gordy Gritters book on chambering and it is very interesting.
