VA says " we are the law "..

The Federal government has far exceeded it’s powers and controls the states instead of the states controlling the federal government. Ben Franklin warned us and slowly over the years states have given their power over in exchange for federal government programs which money is tied to i.e. education, welfare as well as allowing fed 3 letter agencies control within the states.

Look at what is happening to Texas where the federal government refuses to enforce it’s own immigration laws and tell Texas they are not allowed to stop the invasion. The fed cares nothing about the states and only exists to feed itself and yet Americans refuse to wake up and see the greatest threat to their liberty is in DC not Moscow or Bejing.

What makes you think the State governments should be powerful? The federal Constitution has protections for the individual citizen written into it that are being ignored by both the Federal AND State governments. The solution is not shifting power to the States. It's restricting power on all governmental bodies. I firmly believe that about 90% of all laws, Federal, State and Local, are actually unconstitutional.

"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."

Thomas Jefferson

Think about Jefferson's meaning in this statement. Anything that does not conform to it is unconstitutional. That's huge.

Didn’t say state government should be powerful but it should control the federal government and in turn the people control the state. I agree 100% on there being to many laws, state power and state controlling agencies. Balkanization would allow people to decide what state they wanted to live in and be free of an oppressive federal government which would put power back in the hands of the citizens.

Right now states such as NY, IL, NJ, CT deny other Americans, who are not citizens of their state, their 2nd amendment rights within their state yet we are supposedly under the same Constitutional umbrella. Reign in the federal government first then reign in the states.

Think about your last paragraph. The Constitutional umbrella is Federal, not State. Enforce the Constitutional (Federal) law as it was meant to be and it prevents the States from violating our Rights. The States have the Right to address anything that is not covered in the Federal Constitution, but absolutely does not have the power to override the freedoms and Rights of the citizen that are recognized in the Constitution. States should actually have very little, if any, autonomy concerning the Rights of the citizens of that State. State governments should be much more organizer than enforcer.

Exactly my point. Why have a Constitution and call yourself a “United States with liberty and justice for all” if states are allowed to take away the rights of their citizens. The whole idea of a “United States” has become a joke if someone in NY or CA does not have the same Constitutional rights as someone in GA or AL. The concept of the founding fathers was for a Constitutional Republic where states controlled the government through Congressional representatives that voted the will of the people they represent.

It was a great idea and served us well for 200 years but as Ben Franklin warned, once people realized they could vote themselves money it would collapse and we are seeing it first hand. How many “Americans” that live in GA would be willing to give up everything to go and fight for CA or NY like happened in 1862? I damn sure wouldn’t as these states have brought on most of their woes but the voters choices and the actions of the federal government. To go on pretending we are united is exactly what the federal government wants because it keeps it relevant as the citizens continue to believe they couldn’t survive without it.

What can I say but, Yep.

I hope I live to see the day when there is no US Government so it’s just another **** stain on history like the Black Plague or Disco.
We need the US Government so those low IQ DEI quotas can have high paying jobs instead of Sweeping MickyD parking lots or riding the back of Garbage trucks :eyebrows:
