This is a confusing question about vehicle titles my boss had 2 same year same model same color trucks he sold one a couple of years ago and is getting ready to sell the other one only to find out that the first one he sold has the wrong title he has been trying to track down the other owner he doesn't doesn't know how find them so he doesn't know what to do anybody had this happen? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just get a new title for the vehicle in possession. The other would have been corrected already.
Well I don't think it will be that easy when he went to the tag office because he hasn't been using the truck to get a new tag they told him he couldn't because that vin belongs to someone else and he asked who so he could straighten out the title issues and they would not give him any information, so the owner of the other truck registered it to the title and is currently driving a vehicle with the wrong vin number

A Carfax might tell you if the VIN he physically has in his possession is still registered in the area.

On a separate but kinda related note.

I bought a new truck 5 years ago from a dealer that sold several of the exact same model/color/options trucks. I did all the paperwork, insured it, drove it home. Got a call 3 weeks later from the dealer that the truck I legally purchased was still on their lot. The VIN was one digit off from the one sitting in my driveway. Talk about a $hit show.........

Oh, and good luck!

Take the title you have
Previouse registrationscfor both vehicles, and BOS from the first and go to the tag office. They will advise next steps.
