Hello,
I seated a new Vortex Venom 3MOA dot on my Beretta APX-A1. I have the correct mounting plate and it is seated correctly to torque with loctite.
When I shot it for the first time, my group was extremely high, maybe 14-16 inches at 15 yards. So naturally I adjusted the elevation significantly lower, and the group only moved maybe 2 inches. Rinse repeat. Then the elevation adjustment screw began to tighten to the point where I was uncomfortable turning it any further. I decided to call it a day with my dot grouping 8-inches high.
Do I have a defective dot or is it normal for the elevation screw to get that tight?
Thanks!
