Want to get into IDPA

Hello everyone, I have been wanting to get into shooting IDPA but have no idea where to start. Anyone know of ranges that have matches on Sunday close to calhoun ga? My main gun is a CZ shadow 2 compact, is this acceptable? Last can you guys recommend some holsters and gear needed?

I'd recommend shooting with the gun and holster you EDC. Part of the benefit of IDPA is getting very used to your pistol, drawing, moving, reloading... injecting some stress into the situation vs just standing in a bay shooting at a target 7 yards away.

Just move on to IPSC/USPSA and get it over with...
