My stockpiles are gone and I haven’t bought hunting ammo in a couple decades… what are the top recommends nowadays for ammo brands or lines of ammo that are sort of middle-ground prices but really solid in the accuracy/consistency department?

Basically wondering what’s the “Glock 19” of hunting ammo these days? Needs to be readily available & easy to find.

(It’s for a 308)

Skimmed thru several pages of the hunting threads and didn’t see anything related on the topic…. If there’s one out there please share.

Thanks in advance!

Federal Powershock 150gr soft point for me.
I’ve also killed with Norma and Hornady American Whitetail.
If you’re hunting under 200 yards don’t over think it.
Just about any 150gr soft point on the market will put one down with a fist size exit hole.
I tend to overthink on A LOT of things… it’s part of my ‘tism… 😂
But thank you, I needed to hear that!

Hornady American Whitetail 150gr for me. I tried alot of 308 ammo for my Ruger scout rifle, and the American Whitetail with the plain ol' interlok bullet noticeably produced smaller groups. Been using it for years now, and have yet to be disappointed with the bullet performance.
