What Is Your Favorite Gun for Self Defense?

Someone asked me that age old question that we all get asked, "What is your favorite gun for self defense?" At 60 years of age, and with a background that's had a "sticky situation" here and there, I generally reply, "The one that's in my hand when the trouble starts!"
That is such a broad question. There a millions of answers........and most are correct.
For a semi-auto, I love a .357SIG, and for wheel gun, I like a j-frame in a .32 magnum or .327 magnum or .357 magnum. I know that's a little odd, but they send heat down the pipe and and the devastation is remarkable........your authority unquestionable.

depends on the situation, if I'm home, prolly a 12 gage shottie, backed up by a pistol, 9mm or 44 mag
out and about, prolly KT 80, 9mm, Walther , or 38 SPL, if going to Atlanta, CZ P07, AR15, etc, etc

Out & about..the most potent handgun I can hide on my person,along with a fixed blade shank hidden on my other hip. At home,it’s probably going to(initially) start with a 12ga stuffed with Buck,or the 9mm PCC that sits beside the bed. It always has at least 17,or 33 rds of 9mm in it & 9mm out of a PCC basically equates a 357 mag ballistics. Not much recoil & has a light/laser on it 24/7/365. I think a KEY component is that you are never FAR from one...

9mm for me, at least 15 rounds of it. I do want to try out the 357 SIG sometime though.
