Shot a lot of doves when I was younger with the .410. Since it's really a 20 yard gun, I would second the recommendation for #9s, and in a 3" load. Not a dense enough pattern to reliably hit with anything bigger than #8s.

Thanks for the input everyone, counting down the days til' season opens, I'm finding that around here not alot of offerings for .410 in ammo, if anybody has some they don't need anymore I will buy it or trade for it. Just send PM. Thanks again.
