Evening gents. I'm newer to the AK world, and trying to learn a bit. I know in the AR/M4 world, the Magpul D60 is the most reliable "drum mag" that I've ever used, runs like a champ. What is the Ak equivalent? I see you can buy some for $40 all the way to several hundred. Which one actually works reliably?

I have a few Drums for a AK-47, Chinese works fine, Romania is ok, even the Korean Drum is ok.

Wow, Romanian drum price !, a decade ago were only $75 including canvas pouch

FWIR the angle of these (Romy’s) make it a little frustrating to lock-in to some rifle variants, something to do with lower handguards
That's exactly when I got mine, it was $75 .

Thanks for the help guys! I'm admittedly ignorant, but definitely wanting to learn more. I'll take a look at the Korean mags, they seem to be a bit more readily available and easier on the wallet. I think if I was more on the collector side of things, I'd look into the Romanian options. I intend to put it through some classes and abuse it thoroughly. Any more info is greatly appreciated!
Top feeding AK drums are the best. Korean drums work fine but greater chance you'll screw it up loading
When you say screw it up loading it, what exactly should I watch out for? I haven't ever loaded a drum style like that, so I'd like to bypass the headache if possible hah.

The Korean drums have to be loaded a certain way. It's not hard but if you haven't done it a few times and regularly you could mess it up
