I imagine quite a few people have had job offers from previous employers but who here has gotten what they asked for? Did you take the job offer? All of the previous times that I have had a former employer reach out to me with a job offer, none have ever agreed to what I was asking for. It appears so far, that this time is different. Obviously, until I go in and sign on the dotted line, it's not set in stone.

All I asked for is what I believe to be a reasonable pay increase. The majority of the other issues I had have solved themselves since I left. I'm not enamored with where I am at now even though I have invested quite bit of money in to it. Just looking for some outside perspective I guess.

A few years back I left one job for a promotion/raise with a new company. It was a terrible move and I was miserable 6 months in. I was ready to look for a new job. My former employer called me and asked me to come back at my current salary (20% raise when I left them 7 months prior). I pretended to ‘consider’ the offer for 2 days but I was happier than I ever thought going back.

I have. I took the offer with a good raise and promotion. Down side was 2008 everything was was going down. I was one of the last to be laid off in 2011. 2013 they called me back but I didn’t go that time.
There were several old bosses wanted me back but at different companies.

Yes and yes. It is nice to be wanted. The last job I left, my supervisor was fired along with many others. Like I've said, you don't have to do anything. Those people will hang themselves.
I've gone back several times to a previous employer. I've had a regional manager that knew me from years before personally come look me up. Then ask me when will we get you back

I've been asked back several times but never went back. They were taken over, reason I left in first place and can't/won't resume previous perks that were cut. $$$ ain't there either.

I'm 36 and only have ever worked two jobs. First was Domino's manager for 9.5 years. About 8 years in a buddy of mine offered me a job with his company. I took it but about a week in I felt it wasn't quite what I was looking for and went back to Dominos. A year later corporate was up my ass because of my gun bumper stickers on my car and tried pinning me as racist over my confederate tag. Told my buddy what was going on and he offered me a different position. Put my two weeks in and on the last day I said F this place. Closed early, put phones on hold, and fudged inventory. Been with my current job almost as long now and I've never been as stressed here as I was at Dominos.

Pretty good track record. I counted up 5 jobs for myself over 49yrs. Went back a few times to repeat employers. Glad that part of my life may be over. I don't like looking for work. And anymore, I don't like working for someone else. Been retired and on my own for 5yrs now

My boss has always been extremely fair and generous. A Marine vet, conservative with a plethora of knowledge. Night and day difference from my former boss, a liberal college asshat with shortman syndrome.
