I have the exact same marlin, 1949 waffle top. Classic, original and best lever action carbine marlin ever made if you ask me, the action on the waffle top models are just unbelievably smooth compared to the later models. Definately worth $550, good lookin gun sir.

I have 1 I thought about posting for sale. It’s a marlin 336 R.C “Texan edition “ in really good condition it was made in 1959 it’s kinda a rare find...$750 I might look at some trades but it would have to be a good trade offer
