Came across this note and have starting doing some research on it. I know It was common in WWII for service men to get bills signed by guys they were serving with (short snorter). I have seen several over the years, but never on an older large type note. From what I can read, it looks like this one was in Europe/Germany in or shortly after WWII. I can make out dates of 1948 and 1950. One of the names on there I was able to trace back to a US Army Air Forces PFC George Gilbert JR. I found his grave in the military archives. I also found record of someone with the same name being a pow after being shot down in Germany. I am not sure if it is the same guy, but the time lines work. Looking to see if I can find some of the other names. I can make out another PFC and also a SGT.
