Just mounted a scope that I traded into a couple of months ago. VXIII pistol scope has a yellow ring around the edge that I can seem to get clean. Any suggestions outside of sending it to Leupold.

Most likely it is a defect. Yellowing glass in optics can be from the arsenic used to remove impurities. It is no danger to you, but I'd send it back to have them take care of it.

I hate to say it, but the first thing I would do is contact Leupold with the serial number to verify that it is indeed a real Leupold.

If it is, then I would send it to them to fix.

Thanks for all of ya'lls intelligent responces,my toenails are getting better but my scope is still yellow. Could it have anything to do with the gas being purged for the scope.

No, nitrogen won't cause yellowing, even on coated glass.
