My 8 year old daughter has got the bug and wants to start shooting. I am looking for a small 22 rifle for her to start with. Nothing fancy. Would like to stay under $150 and don't want to drive to far for it. Let me know if anyone has something that will fit her needs.

Thanks

The Crickett. (I just went through this myself a month or two ago. This is where everyone pointed me.)

Less that $150 new (and they make it with a pink stock, lol)

Oh, you'll both have so much fun.
(I forgot how much fun it was teaching my kids to shoot, until I started again with my oldest grandson....)

I was going to suggest a Cricket as well. There is a shop here in Rome (live fire) that sells them for $100 OTD I believe.. but its been a while and the price may have changed some.

if you want to look at one I'm sure Cabela's in Acworth will have a couple sitting on the shelf as will Academy in Cartersville. I'm unaware of any gun shops in the general Marietta area though.

Edit: well except Walmart. Walmarts usually have a Cricket in stock

When they first came out, I believe they cost around 70 bucks. The times they are a changing. Someone just posted one on here, I believe pink with a scope on it..
